Prince Rupert Rowing & Yachting Club Recycling Center

We have partnered with Eco-Management to Reduce, Reuse and Recycle

At the top of the ramp, near the Yacht Clubhouse, we have set up a Recycling Sorting Station to allow you to sort and deposit your recyclables quick and easy.

Each bin is labeled with the type of recycleable to place in that bin, but to save time it is preferable to sort your recyclables onboard, prior to coming up to the Sorting Station.

Recycle Stations:

  • Plastic and glass drinking containers

These containers include beer, wine, juice and soda bottles. All containers with a deposit will be donated to local charities.

  • Plastic materials

  • Metal

  • Tin cans, such as juice or vegetable cans, misc metal, aluminum, copper, etc

  • Glass jars or similar items

  • Cardboard & paper

If you have any specialty items, such as appliances, batteries or computer debris, please contact any of our  PRRYC staff for assistance.

  • Clear plastic fruit or toy packaging (clam shell) not  accepted

  • Broken glass should be deposited as trach as it is a safety hazard for the employees that need to physically handle and sort the recyclables

All oil, oil jugs and containers should be taken next door to PetroCan for recycling. Please do not leave oil on the docks, in the garbage or in the yard.

All trash is disposed of by Rupert Disposal
